Johnny Marr and Caroline Polachek
Johnny Marr, lead guitarist of The Smiths and Caroline Polachek on their latest projects. Plus, the weekly countdown of the UK charts.
Johnny Marr made his name as the lead guitarist with the hit 1980s indie band The Smiths. Since then he has been involved with many projects including the duo Electronic and working on the soundtrack of the last James Bond film. He has just released a new greatest hits collection and he will be telling us why now is the right time to look back.
We also hear from musician Caroline Polachek who continues to break boundaries with her music.
There is music from the new albums by Jung Kook, Cliff Richard and Van Morrison, plus in the singles chart we are looking out for new entries from Jax Jones, Olivia Rodrigo and the return of The Beatles who could achieve their first number one single for 54 years.
