Seun Kuti is the youngest son of the legend that is Fela Kuti. Seun started performing as a child and took over as leader of Fela’s band Egypt 80 when the Nigerian Afrobeat star died. He is now a Grammy nominated artist in his own right.

In this edition of TIA, Seun Kuti tells DJ Edu why he is determined to continue his father’s legacy and create music that has African empowerment and social activism at its heart. Like Fela, Seun speaks truth to power and wants to shake his fellow Africans out of complicity and complacency.
