Karun and Jaredo

DJ Edu introduces Karun, a Kenyan singer taking her music in new directions, and Jaredo, an ambitious Liberian artist looking for international success.

Karun is a Kenyan with a gorgeous voice who’s relaunching herself. At just 14 she was famous as the lead singer of Camp Mulla, a group which was nominated at the BET awards back in 2012. Now, after several years studying music at the prestigious Berklee school in the US and experimenting, Karun says her sound is completely different. She’s just dropped a dreamy new single, Pen and Paper.

Jaredo is another one to watch. He shot to fame in Liberia in 2018, and is hatching his first album, Prince of Africa. He says he’s ready to take on the world.
