Eclectic Ghanaian rapper M.anifest discusses his latest album, and what it was like collaborating with Adekunle Gold and his mother.
M.anifest is one of Africa’s originals. The Ghanaian melodic rapper has always ploughed his own furrow, with his distinctive alternative style, his eclectic sound and his witty on the button social commentary, which is often poignant too.
He and DJ Edu discuss his new album MTTU: Madina to the Universe. The title refers to the colourful, mixed neighbourhood in Accra where M.anifest grew up.
M.anifest talks about his creative process, his collaboration with Adekunle Gold, and why his mother needed to feature on the album.
