This is Africa this week focuses on Tanzania, the country which gave us Bongoflava, and one of Afropop’s biggest stars, Diamond Platnumz.
Our guest is Harmonize, nurtured by Diamond, but now going it alone and getting millions of hits on Youtube. He was once told by the judges on a Tanzanian TV talent show to forget music as a career.
Tanzania’s music scene is male dominated, but we shine the TIA spotlight on a talented woman who is bucking the trend. Her name is Nandy.
