Africa is relatively new to the festival game. There have been a handful for the longest time, but in the last three or four years music festivals have mushroomed all over. So what’s special or distinctive about African festivals? We hear from festival goers from Ghana, South Africa and the USA, and from afro-roots star Rocky Dawuni.
