Rez Gardi grew up in a refugee camp - the child of Kurdish human rights activists who had fled to Pakistan. Now she is a lawyer prosecuting IS war crimes in Iraq.

Rez Gardi grew up in a refugee camp - the child of Kurdish human rights activists who had fled to Pakistan. For years she was denied an education, but she excelled anyway. Now she is a Harvard educated lawyer and she is fighting to prosecute IS war crimes in Iraq.

As a boy living in the Samburu National Park in Kenya, Jeneria Lekilelei was told that lions were enemies that had to be defeated in order to protect livestock. He is now a conservationist and has devoted his life to ensure that lions and humans can live together in peace. His organisation is called Ewaso Lions.
