The protests in Hong Kong have settled into an ugly, predictable routine, but the level of violence has crept up. The prevailing fear, as Hong Kong draws closer to full Chinese rule, is that the territory will lose its freedoms and its autonomy. Paul Adams spoke to some Hong Kongers about their attitudes to mainland Chinese immigrants who are arriving in ever greater numbers.
