A Body of Protest

In this episode Kalki meets theatre actor Mallika Taneja to talk about her play in which she appears naked on stage in protest against gender inequality, sexual harassment and assault in India. It is her way of confronting the “victim shamers”. Her act sometimes makes people deeply uncomfortable; it also cajoles them into questioning their own entrenched ideas.
