Meshell Ndegeocello

Meshell Ndegeocello is a fearsome bassist, prolific songwriter, distinctive vocalist, and inspired producer. She has eschewed genre for originality, creativity and integrity during her 25 year musical career. Refusing to be pigeon-holed musically or personally, she has been celebrated and berated for her politically charged lyrics on race, love, sex, betrayal, God, and power. Meshell has received significant critical acclaim throughout her career and has been nominated for a Grammy Award ten times.
