Rob Scheer received a trash bag for his 18th birthday and Alison Cope still keeps a gift from her son in its original box and wrapping.
Growing up in America Rob Scheer spent many years in foster homes. When he turned eighteen he received a dreary gift, but it inspires his work today.
Alison Cope is the mother of the British Grime artist known as 'Depzman'. He bought her a designer watch from his first royalty cheque but in many ways it's a bittersweet gift.
