Should Both Sides Of The Rohingya Crisis Be Covered?

Following last week’s interview with the BBC Burmese Service editor, a listener has been in touch with his concerns of the reporting on the Rohingya situation.

Nearly half a million Rohingya muslims have fled Myanmar for Bangladesh after a campaign by the country’s army. The UN is describing it as ethnic cleansing but Myanmar rejects the claims. In an interview last week BBC Burmese Editor, Tin Htar Swe told Rajan the service strives to get both sides of the story but since then one listener has been in touch to criticise this stance.

Also, presenter of hit series, 50 Things That Made The Modern Economy, Tim Harford is answering listeners’ questions and outlining the six shortlisted items for the special podcast edition on the 51st Thing. Voting closes on 6 October.
