UN approves probe into el-Fasher massacre allegations

The UN Human Rights Council held an emergency session on Sudan today.

The UN Human Rights Council has unanimously approved a formal investigation into allegations of a massacre last month in the Sudanese city of el- Fasher. Some 2,000 people are thought to have been killed by the paramilitary RSF forces. We speak to our correspondent in Geneva about what was discussed in today's emergency session. We also get the latest about the situation on the ground in Sudan.
