Israel's security cabinet has approved plans for a major expansion of operations in Gaza
There's growing criticism of the Israeli government's decision to step up its war against Hamas by taking control of Gaza City. The aims include the disarmament of Hamas, the return of all hostages and the establishment of an alternative civilian administration.
