Russia, Ukraine and US hold talks in Abu Dhabi

Territorial disputes persist, with Russia demanding the whole of the Donbas region.

Talks to try to resolve the Russia–Ukraine war continue in Abu Dhabi as Russia pounds several Ukrainian cities. We hear from a senior Ukrainian politician.

Also in today’s programme: widespread protests and strikes in Minneapolis against federal immigration crackdowns; and The Voice of Hind Rajab - a film documenting the agonising moments of a six-year-old Palestinian girl killed in Gaza in 2024 - has been nominated for three Academy Awards. Motaz Malhees, a Palestinian actor who plays the main emergency operator, Omar, who first took Hind Rajab’s call, speaks to us.
