
Tanzania president Samia Suluhu Hassan wins election with nearly 98% of votes amid unrest

Election commission results say the incumbent, President Samia Suluhu Hassan has won with just under 98 per cent of the vote. But opposition parties and civil rights groups say the elections were not free and fair and demonstrations have broken out over the past couple of days in the commercial capital Dar es Salaam and other cities including the northern city of Mwanza.
And This year's World Series baseball championship has been marked by controversy arising from Donald Trump's presidency. During the first two games, the Ontario provincial government of Canada played an advertisement on some US TV stations featuring former US president Ronald Reagan making a speech against trade tariffs.
