Hamas-Israel ceasefire goes into effect

The ceasefire in the two-year war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza has been in place for less than 24 hours and it appears to be holding. An estimated two-hundred-thousand Palestinians have already returned to neighbourhoods in the north of the territory.
