Iran says no execution of protesters

The Iranian foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, has said his government has no plans to hang people arrested for taking part in protests. Donald Trump has said he has been assured that the killing of Iranian protesters has been halted but would be monitoring the situation. Denmark says there is a "fundamental disagreement" with the US over Greenland after talks with the White House.

And President Trump’s team has unveiled the next phase of its plan to end the conflict in Gaza. Special envoy Steve Witkoff announced the creation of a technocratic Palestinian government in the territory, alongside plans for reconstruction and the full disarmament of Hamas and other armed groups.
