Ukraine confirms Russian use of hypersonic ballistic missile

Russia's ministry of defence said it struck Ukraine overnight using an advanced Oreshnik ballistic missile as part of a wider bombardment. We speak to a Ukrainian politician who says the use of the intermediate range ballistic missile on Lviv, capable of carrying nuclear warheads, sends a message to the European Union.

Colombia's president, Gustavo Petro, has told the BBC he believes there is a real threat of US military action in his country, after American strikes on Venezuela and the seizure of Nicolás Maduro.
