White House discussing 'options' for Greenland

The White House said it was considering "a range of options" to acquire Greenland.

The White House says President Trump and his team have been discussing options for "acquiring" Greenland. Military force, it said, was one option available. Another would be buy it as US lawmakers heard from Secretary of State Marco Rubio. We look at the viability of such plans and what this might mean for the future of the defence alliance Nato.

Donald Trump has said Venezuela will turn over a large quantity of sanctioned oil that will be sold for a fund that he himself will control.

And the Sudan Doctors Network has accused the Sudanese paramilitary Rapid Support Force of conducting a drone strike in El Obeid, the capital of North Kordofan state, which killed at least 13 civilians.
