Ukraine's president, Volodymyr Zelensky, has given a guarded response to new proposals drafted by Washington to end the war with Russia. Details of the plan have not been confirmed officially, but media reports indicate it's heavily based on Russia's demands.

The COP30 climate summit in Brazil enters its final day today. Delegates from around the world have been working on how the world can address climate change and achieve the long-held goal of restricting the rise in global temperatures to 1.5C. We get an assessment of what's been done so far.

And leaders from the world’s biggest economies will be flying to South Africa this weekend for the G20 summit, the first time the gathering has taken place on the continent.
