Verdict expected in the trial of former Prime Minister Hasina

Bangladesh is awaiting the verdict in the case of the former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, accused of ordering a violent clampdown on protests which forced her from power. Hasina is being tried in absentia in connection with a crackdown on student-led protests last year in which hundreds were killed.
