
Al Jazeera journalists killed in Israeli strike in Gaza
A prominent Al Jazeera correspondent, Anas al Sharif, has been killed in an Israeli strike in Gaza, which also claimed the lives of four of his colleagues.
Five Al Jazeera journalists have been killed in a targeted Israeli attack in Gaza City. The Israeli army confirmed that it had struck Anas al-Sharif, posting on Telegram that he had 'served as the head of a terrorist cell in Hamas', a claim strongly denied by Al Jazeera. Israel is facing sharp criticism at the UN Security Council in New York over the widening of its offensive in Gaza. We'll speak to the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food.
And, foreign ministers in the European Union are meeting later today in an emergency meeting to discuss Ukraine.
