The former president was speaking at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.
Donald Trump has survived an assassination attempt at a rally in Pennsylvania. Security agents rushed to protect the former US president after gun shots were heard, before he was hurried off stage with blood on his face. In a social media post, Mr Trump said a bullet had pierced his ear.
Also in the programme: at least 90 people were reported to have been killed yesterday in Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza strip; and we reflect on this week's
attack on Ukraine’s largest children’s hospital and centre for paediatric care.
Joining Julian Worricker to discuss this and more are Rym Momtaz, Research Fellow for European Foreign Policy and Security, and Anton Spisak who is an associate fellow at the Centre for European Reform.
