More than ninety people were killed in clashes on Sunday. Anti-government protesters are expected to march to the capital, Dhaka, today.
The United Nations human rights chief has urged the government in Bangladesh to stop targeting protesters, after a day of unrest in which more than ninety people were killed, in the deadliest day in weeks of anti-government demonstrations. The number of people arrested in anti- immigration violence that's swept across England and Northern Ireland has risen to at least two hundred and fifty.
