
Gaza: Israel and Hamas mull new peace proposal from Egypt
Egypt has confirmed that it has put forward a proposal which would see the gradual release of hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners leading to a ceasefire.
Egypt has confirmed that it has put forward a three-stage proposal which would see the gradual release of hostages IN exchange FOR Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails followed by several humanitarian pauses which would lead to a ceasefire. A Hamas delegation is now in Cairo for further discussions.
