UK and US impose third round of sanctions on Hamas

The UK and US have announced a third round of sanctions following Hamas's 7 October attack on Israel. The US Treasury Department said the sanctions will target "key Hamas officials and the mechanisms by which Iran provides support to Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad" - which is another armed faction in the Gaza Strip. A member of the OS team explains Hamas and its background, and a correspondent joins the show to give us the latest.

Also in the programme: Huge cracks could be seen on a road in the Icelandic town of Grindavik after it was hit by earthquakes. Thousands of people have been evacuated, as officials fear the multiple tremors may indicate an imminent volcanic eruption.

The BBC's climate correspondent joins the programme to explain a new technology that could help more quickly predict hurricane landfalls.
