Former US president Donald Trump is testifying in a New York court as he battles a civil fraud trial that threatens his real estate empire. We explain what the case is about and get the latest developments from our correspondent in New York.

Israel's military has carried out one of the heaviest bombardments of Gaza since the war began a month ago. Israel began bombing Gaza after Hamas killed more than 1,400 people in Israel and kidnapped more than 200 others.
