India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi has opened a Hindu temple on the site of a razed mosque in the northern town of Ayodhya. Modi said the temple marked a 'new era' for the country, three decades after a Hindu mob tore down the Babri mosque which many Hindus believe was built on the birthplace of the Hindu god Rama.
