Three babies have died in Gaza hospital - surgeon
A surgeon in Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza has told the BBC three newborn babies have now died
A doctor at Al-Shifa hospital has told the BBC a third newborn baby has died in their makeshift neonatal care unit.
Dr Marwan Abu Saada, a surgeon currently inside Al-Shifa hospital, said over thirty infants had been transferred to a cardiac surgery room after the neonatal intensive care unit stopped working due to power failures. Dr Abu Saada said the third infant died from enteritis - an inflammation of the gut to which premature babies are particularly susceptible.
Also in the programme: thousands of people have marched in Paris against antisemitism in France, amid the conflict in the Gaza Strip. And the chance of a volcanic eruption in Iceland is rising, posing a threat to a now-evacuated town, experts say.
