Twin blasts at memorial in Iran kill nearly 100 people

Crowds had gathered to mark the anniversary of the death of General Qasem Soleimani who was killed by an American drone four years ago.

Nearly 100 people have been killed in blasts in central Iran, during a ceremony to mark the fourth anniversary of the assassination of the powerful general Qasem Soleimani - Iran's supreme leader has vowed the perpetrators will be met with a harsh response.

We go to Japan, where the authorities say they are up against the clock to find remaining survivors following a major earthquake which hit the central north of the country - we hear from one man whose home area was near the epicentre of the 7.6 magnitude quake.
