The cost of rebuilding Ukraine

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has called for a global joint effort to repair the damage inflicted by Russian forces in Ukraine. He claims it exceeds $500 billion, but other analysts think it will top a trillion dollars.

That's just one of the issues set to be discussed by leaders of the Quad countries at a summit in Japan.

Elsewhere, an entirely different summit is getting underway as African leaders discuss measures aimed at protecting the world's last remaining elephants.
