UK PM admitted to hospital over virus symptoms

The British prime minister Boris Johnson has been admitted to hospital with persistent symptoms of Covid-19 - ten days after testing positive.

Queen Elizabeth has urged people to remain united in the face of the pandemic, saying better days will return.

A senior US government official has said the rate of new infections there should stabilise shortly but the number of deaths will increase in the meantime.
