George Floyd death: Policing in America
We talk about being a police officer in the US.
We continue our conversations about race in the US amid the protests, and talk today about policing in America. We want to hear from officers about their job; what it takes to wear the badge and explain how it differs across the country.
A memorial for George Floyd is due to take place in Minneapolis shortly after we come off air. We’ll talk to people in the city as they prepare for it.
And as we follow the global demonstrations of frustration, we are collecting personal recollections from around the world of people’s first memory of racism and how it affected them.
