
Australian bushfires: Government defends climate change record
Australian leader defends his government's climate change response as bushfires continue.
The Australian Prime Minister, Scott Morrison, has defended his government's record on tackling climate change as the unprecedented bushfire season continues. Mr Morrison conceded global warming had a part to play in fuelling the fires but has refused to tone down his support for fossil fuels.
Also in the programme: The future of the controversial gas pipeline, Nord Stream 2, has been thrown into doubt, after President Trump signed into law sanctions targeting companies building it; and Mariah Carey's classic song All I Want For Christmas Is You finally becomes a number one hit.
