Chinese soldiers to intervene in Hong Kong

Chinese soldiers to help dismantle barricades in Hong Kong; polling closes in Sri Lanka

Chinese soldiers in Hong Kong have left their barracks to help dismantle barricades built by protesters.

Also in the programme: Polling stations in Sri Lanka have closed in the country's first election since the deadly Easter Sunday attacks which killed more than 250 people.

And Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, has spoken to the BBC and denied he ever had any sexual contact with Virginia Roberts, who alleges she was forced to have sex with him when she was 17.

Joining Julian Worricker to discuss these and other issues are Alev Scott, journalist and author previously based in Istanbul, now in London, and Paul Melly, consulting fellow with the Africa programme at Chatham House, and a freelance journalist.
