Uproar in the UK as parliament is to be suspended

Senior Conservative politician Ken Clarke condemns the decision by the Prime Minister.

We hear from Ken Clarke, the longest serving Conservative politician in the UK parliament who has the title "The Father Of The House." He is a prominent opponent of Brexit and has even been spoken of as a possible leader of a government of national unity.

Also on the programme, following the state of Oklahoma's victory over the company Johnson and Johnson over its role in the opioid crisis in the US, we hear from one of the expert witnesses in the trial. And we have an update on the current situation in the state of Kashmir, where the Indian government has imposed a complete news blackout and where as many as three thousand people have been arrested.
