
Trump acquitted by Senate
He will become the first impeached president to seek re-election.
The White House has called the outcome of the impeachment trial in the US Senate a "full vindication and exoneration" of President Trump. Earlier, senators voted almost entirely along party lines, and prosecutors failed to gain the two thirds majority necessary to convict Mr Trump and remove him from office.
Also we look ahead to Saturday's election in Ireland and hear from Sinn Fein, who have seen a surprising surge in the polls. And we also hear about a technique being developed in France which has enabled thread and sheet material to be created from human cells. This could be used to repair wounds and mend arteries using actual human skin. We meet the man heading the research.
