
Coronavirus infections rise as countries begin evacuating their nationals
The US, UK, Japan and other countries have evacuations underway.
Australia plans to quarantine its 600 returning citizens for two weeks on Christmas Island - some 2,000km from the mainland, while American evacuees will be quarantined in Alaska.
