Chinese new year extended to contain spread of Coronavirus

In China 81 people have been killed by the virus almost 3000 have been confirmed ill. The city of Wuhan is in lockdown and several other cities have imposed travel bans.

Also on the programme a ceremony marking the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz is due to take place at the site of the camp in Poland. And tributes have been paid around the world to the basketball legend Kobe Bryant, who was killed, alongside his 13 year old daughter and seven other people, in a helicopter crash in Los Angeles.
