
Iran’s Supreme Leader leads prayers for first time since 2012
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei delivered the sermon amid anger at last week’s plane crash.
Following last week’s accidental shooting down of a passenger plane and the widespread protests that have followed, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei delivered a Friday sermon for the first time in eight years. He appealed for unity and offered condolences to the families of the 176 people who died in the crash.
