Bolivia: Opposition senator declares herself interim president

Jeanine Áñez said she was next in line under the constitution and vowed to hold elections soon. Lawmakers from former president Evo Morales' party boycotted the session. Mr Morales has fled to Mexico, saying he asked for asylum there because his life was in danger.

Also on the programme: the UK Conservative party has suspended a number of members over claims of Islamophobia. And the president of Turkey makes an official visit to the United States on the day that televised coverage of the impeachment inquiry into President Trump begins.
