Istanbul vote: Erdogan's party suffers re-run poll defeat

The opposition in Turkey is celebrating after a convincing win in Istanbul, ending a quarter of a century rule of President Erdogan's AK Party.

The poll was a rerun of the March mayoral election when the Republican People's Party won by the thinnest of margins. This time, the margin was ten percent.
