Amazon at 25

As the world's largest retailer Amazon marks its 25th birthday, we look at its future. Miya Knights is author of 'Amazon: How the World's Most Relentless Retailer Will Continue to Revolutionize Commerce', and discusses where the firm is headed. Nick Strauss was one of the company's first employees, and reflects on what working there was like in the early days. Cristina Rios manages central London bookshop Houseman's, and explains how the business has adapted to competition from Amazon. Stacy Mitchell is co-director of the Institute for Local Self-Reliance, and explains some of the criticisms of Amazon's business model, and how it might be stifling innovation. And we ask Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison whether legal action is likely to try and impact the company's market dominance. Also in the programme, Greece's ruling Syriza party is expected to lose a general election there this weekend. Christos Dimas speaks on economic and development issues for the New Democracy party, which polls indicate will win, and outlines their economic platform. And we also hear from Giorgos Katrougalos, foreign minister for Syriza.
