
US hits China with new tariffs

As China and the United States apply additional tariffs to each other's exports, prices are rising for American consumers. We get analysis from Freya Beamish, Chief Asia Economist at Pantheon Macro Economics. Argentina applies controls to the amount of foreign currency businesses can buy; the BBC's Daniel Gallas brings us the latest update. The new President of the European Commission, Ursula Von Der Leyen, starts work formally in Brussels on Monday. One of the biggest challenges will be reducing the power of lobby groups. We hear from Margarida Silva, is a researcher with Corporate Europe Observatory which campaigns against the influence of multi-national corporations in the EU. And Captain Peter Hammarstedt, from the campaign group, Sea Shepherd tells us that large boats from Europe and Asia are casting nets illegally and damaging the livelihoods of fishing communities in West Africa.
