Coronavirus outbreak: New cases in US state of Washington
It brings the total of cases in the US to 88
We go to Washington State in the US where two people have died of coronavirus in Kirkland, north-east of Seattle. Both had underlying health conditions. The state has now declared a state of emergency as a result of the deaths. It brings the total number of people killed by the virus in the US to 88. We speak to a reporter in Seattle.
Also, we hear about a UN investigation that has found all sides in the conflict in Syria have committed war crimes. The report says Russian planes were involved in attacks on schools, hospitals and markets in Idlib province, with Syrian government forces allegedly targeting hospitals. Rebels are accused of launching rocket attacks that killed dozens of civilians.
And we go to the island of Lesbos where the Greek coastguard says a child has died and 47 migrants have been rescued after their boat capsized. Reports say at least 1000 migrants have reached Greece's Eastern Aegean islands since Sunday morning. Greece meanwhile has said it has stopped accepting asylum claims for a month, accusing Turkey of encouraging migrants to travel to the country. As the situation intensifies, one journalist tells us he was beaten while reporting about a migrant boat arriving on the island.
