Coronavirus officially named Covid-19

More than 1000 people have died in the outbreak

Also, a spokesman for Sudan's government has said that the former leader Omar al-Bashir will be handed over to the International Criminal Court in the Hague. Mr Bashir, who was ousted in a coup in April, is wanted for war crimes and crimes against humanity. He has always denied the allegations. Our Africa editor Mary Harper joins us with more details.

And the musician Joseph Shabalala, best known as the founder and director of the group Ladysmith Black Mambazo, has died at the age of 78. We find out what he meant to South Africans.
