Trump impeachment: House debate begins

The House of Representatives is to vote on whether to impeach President Trump.

The US House of Representatives is discussing on whether to impeach President Trump for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. The vote is expected later today. The president is accused of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress related to his dealings with Ukraine. We speak to our correspondent in Washington, and hear about the reaction across the country.

We’ll also talk about a significant ruling in Japan with a high-profile TV reporter ordered to pay $30,000 in damages to a journalist who accused him of rape. Shiori Ito, who has become a symbol of the #MeToo movement, brought a civil case against the reporter.

And we find out why thousands of nurses in Northern Ireland have gone on strike for the first time in hundred years.
