UK election: Live from one of the key battlegrounds

We're in Southampton on England's south coast, one of it's most politically divided cities.

With campaigning underway for the UK's general election on December 12th, we are in the city of Southampton on England's south coast. Politically. the port city is nearly evenly split in terms of support for the two main parties and on the question of Brexit. We bring you the voices of people in the city, to hear what issues are important to them in this election.

Also, in the US the impeachment inquiry into President Trump continues. A congressional committee is hearing evidence on whether or not the President improperly sought help from Ukraine to boost his chances of re-election in 2020. We'll bring you the latest developments as they happen.

And in Hong Kong the standoff continues between anti-government protesters and the police. Many protesters remain barricaded inside Hong Kong Polytechnic University, surrounded by police. We'll hear from people who are there.
