Boris Johnson will become the next UK prime minister after being elected as the leader of the Conservative leader in a ballot of party members. Chloe Tilley is in Ely, Cambridgeshire in the East of England for today’s show, getting reaction to the result. The town strongly supports the Conservative party and it narrowly voted to leave the European Union back in 2016.

Also, South Korea says its fighter jets fired warning shots at a Russian military aircraft that entered its airspace. They say the surveillance plane flew over the disputed Dokdo islands. Our regional expert tells us more.
